Marvel on tvOS
I explored a “what if” version of Marvel as its own tvOS app. Inspired by comic book layouts and their framing techniques for artwork, I used half tones, slightly highlighted edges on the tiles, and an overall focus on large art.

Encourage Exploration
Navigation for the ten foot experience can be cumbersome. Fans tend to stay within one tab and rarely browse. This layout rewards exploration by repurposing the menu from a utility tool to an engagement device that makes this experience more immersive as fans see sneak peaks of each section as they navigate through this multi-purpose main menu.

Inspired by the Golden Age
Slanted layouts, halftone overlays, and large beautiful imagery pay homage to the original art form of comic books as the inspiration for these explorations.

Total Immersion
The covers of comic books are notorious for grabbing attention. I wanted to bring that same level of attention to the imagery in this exploration by removing most text and metadata allowing the art to help drive navigation and browsing.
